ABOUT THE ROLE

As part of the passionate Plastic Diet team, the Accounts and Admin Guru will provide the essential support to further the vital work of Plastic Diet. This role will provide you with a unique opportunity to gain leadership experience. The primary responsibility of the role is to provide financial & general office administration for Plastic Diet, including good record keeping (offline & online), managing invoices & payments, GST/PAYE, assist the executive to prepare budgets & financial reports, funding applications and other tasks as required.

 

ABOUT THE ORGANISATION

Plastic Diet is a youth-lead organisation dedicated to reducing single-use plastic consumption and waste. We are a solutions-focussed community and movement which aims to work at the top of the waste hierarchy to reduce plastic pollution from the source.

THE PERSON WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Previous administration and accounts experience and/or study

  • Well organised: able to manage multiple tasks and complete them in a timely manner

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Maintain organisation records & books (file keeping)
2. Accounting & Finance – looking after invoices, payments, reconciling expenses
3. GST/PAYE returns
4. Assist the executive to prepare accounts for funding applications and audits
5. Other administrative duties as required

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

1. Accounting & Finance
2. Bookkeeping
3. Good communication skills
4. Public and/or private sector experience preferred
5. Preferred fundraising and/or compliance experience
