ABOUT THE ROLE

As part of the Plastic Diet core team, the Visual Arts Director will be leading our production of kick-ass visual content. Our campaigns are only as effective as our execution is stunning! So we want to engage, enthuse and inspire our audience not only with words, but with style… and lots of fun and thought-provoking visual content!  

 

Responsibilities of this role include managing our Visual Arts Team to create posters, invitations, logos, banners, photography, web-design, campaign films, and much more. Really, the sky is the limit. You will be working alongside other passionate teams, including our Campaign Team and Media Team, to support and collaborate in the development of our campaigns. Joining our community in this role will provide you with a unique opportunity to gain leadership experience while making art with both beauty and purpose.

  • You have relevant multimedia experience/study and want to apply your skills

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Producing visual content of various nature for our projects and campaigns

  • Leading the design, planning and execution of own/collaborative projects

  • Transmitting organisational values and messages through creative content

  • Liaising with other teams to set deadlines for individual projects

  • Photography, web-design and other visual marketing as required

Managing our Multimedia Team

  • Delegating tasks and assigning technical roles and/or project managers

  • Working in collaboration with the Volunteer coordinator to recruit new people

Supporting the creative process of our Campaign Team

  • Attending meetings with the Campaign Team

  • Researching and keeping up-to-date with solutions to plastic pollution

 

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

 

Relevant multimedia experience/study

Preferred graphic design experience

Preferred filmmaking experience

Innovation, artistic and campaigning skills

  • Able to create unique and inspiring content

Project management skills
